I passed by the park today, and decided to visit Mr. White Peacock to see how he's doing, and lo and behold, he was walking around with his tail feathers fully spread. I think it must be mating season or something, 'cause while I was there, he showed off his feathers three times and was making a lot of noise (ever heard a peacock make a sound? it sounds kinda eerie, like a baby crying
; )Anyway, he was standing far enough away from the fence that I was able to get the whole thing

That is absolutely stunning. Good thing you decided to pay Mr. peacock a visit that day.
There's this store we go to sometimes that has a petting zoo next it that has peacocks and we hear their cries. They make the most interesting cry. I like how they sound, but I can see how their cries can be a bit eerie.
You got a perfect shot of our feathered friend. I've never seen a white peacock. Thanks for sharing this.^^

This caught my eye.. just a tid bit for you - as peacocks get closer to their mating season, they become very boisterous, very talkative (it gets annoying) and their feathers start to grow. Β Throughout the year they don't have long feathers like you normally see in pictures, it lasts for about a month & a half.. Mating season itself is only a week long roughly.. Β then their plumage begins to fall and they shut up.

Whenever I see a peacock spreading his tailfeathers, I think of Mom's irritable response to one coming up to us and showing off: "He's just horny."

Haha my god they are so cool. ;D We have a few colored peacocks in a park nearby my home, but they are way smaller than this. Great picture!

Once I watched a nature tv-show and there they said that a white peacock will not find a mate... That's so sad because they're so beautiful and elegant but they were born differently, that's why females don't even look at them.
Anyway, really great picture!!!

It's so beautiful.... I remember seeing a bunch of those white peacocks at a flea market once and they were all in a tiny cage poor things.... I never imaged how beautiful they'd look wonderful picture! This just made my day <3
