Description

Paphinia cristata, a funky Bolivian orchid with not very long lasting hanging flowers.

I got to use plenty of my favourite colour, perylene maroon, painting this flower using dry brush to get the velvety feel of the petals. 

Its funny how so many orchids have dark maroon somewhere on the flower or plant.
