Personality: As the oldest mare at LRA, Lily certainly acts like it. She's gentle and patient, but she also knows she's the matriarch and she isn't afraid to assert her authority over the other horses. She may be old, but she's still in her prime! For the most part though, Lily is a real lady. She doesn't walk like an old horse; she prances about, flaunting the good looks she's had all her life.

Background: Lily is possibly the only horse to have lived at LRA for almost the entirety of her life. As you might expect, she was born as a seller-baby; her owners were Gypsy breeders and would sell the foals of their prized horses. Lily was no different. However, her new life began in secret. At age 3, a middle aged man by the name of Gregor Louvel came to buy her. Lily was meant to be a surprise gift for his wife for their 20th anniversary. So, for the next few months, Gregor tried his best to keep Lily a secret, keeping her at a different stable for a time to try and train her the way he knew his wife would love. When it came time to present his gift, Lily was perfect, just the way he had planned.

For the next 15 years, up until the day of Chandra's death, Lily lived peacefully as her beautiful steed. However, once Chandra had died, the Louvel family couldn't bare to look at Lily. Any time spent with her brought back memories of a mother, a wife; it was hard. They did what was necessary with her, but no one rode her anymore. They all still felt as though she were still Chandra's horse. But finally, Gregor's youngest daughter, Lyn, took up the responsibility to care for the aging mare. It was still hard for her, but the memories she had of her mother were fond ones. Since that day, Lily has become the family horse and has even begun to be used as a lesson horse.

Other notes: She loves to snuggle; she will lay in the grass with you for hours if you let her!
