Description Mysterious artefact found from Backrooms exploration...
Uncanny resemblance to Atari systems but seems to be a cartridge with 3x the connectors in several setups designed to be slid into a large panel in an unknown system - Tentari ZX2 - perhaps some kind of progression from the archaic Atari X series home computers.Β  Is in effect a ROM-Drive akin to a modern USB stick though of course no simple connection but several banks of odd pins adding up to about 120 though some might be non digital such as analog audio and extra power.Β  Using Atari computer specs was able to get an initial handshake on the first set of pins advising is only programmed to work with a "Tentari ZX2 - system needing 128 megabytes and hardware expansion to allow up to four gigabytes accessible ROM, module EEPROM banks 1.5 Gigabytes".

Sent it to a friend with more knowledge of the technology and he was able to read the EEPROM banks.Β  It seemed to be akin to Skyrim being made on an incredibly advanced 8-bit computer, the cover sticker being a screenshot of the graphics from the game.Β  "Game World" is an accurate description.Β  He was amazed how perfectly packed everything was together, again like if the Ultima team had 90s graphics and access such as in their latter pre polygon era games but extrapolated from Atari's Adventure series.Β  It was full of characters, sprites, data caches, procedurals for terrain and random dungeons and characters...Β  There was also a supplementary graphics card, laughable by today's standards but very advanced for the stated dates on the box and another sound processor dedicated to music and synthesized voices.Β  He then claimed it had been stolen, talking about Men in Black then ghosted me...Β  It had better NOT end up on Ebay...

-----Mockup for alternative history 1980s fiction I'm working on - Neon Samurai, Mall Ninjas, retro fun but a better retro worldΒ  - Atari didn't crash but I renamed it "Tentari" for corporate mergings and to avoid CopyWRONG B---sh-t for what should be free advertising.Β  Note "Adventure" is too generic a title for any trademark / copyright to work if challenged.
