Yes. Sad but true he has left us. From my point of view, one of the last legendary artists out there. Even in his last years he produced very nice commissions in his own unique style. Will miss his work.
That makes it so nice to see that you MIGHT have been influenced by his work without copying or anything.

leid meine freund. just been ridiculously busy lately. it's really an honor to for my stuff to be likened to such greats. right now i'm just feeling my way in the industry be it comic, concept and even fine art. had some influnces while i was starting out but as i grew i wanted to break free from the zeit geist and have my own identity. actually in some funny way the influnces i looked up to had become more of a hindrance than help. just scratchin the surface of being free and making my very own stuff. had a look at your art. you into fine art? curiously, i really want to know what the art scene in germany is like. have an uncle who lives in austria, it aint germany but close enough. he always wanted me to try out living in austria or any place in eurore for that matter.

Hi again! Well, Germany isn't a bad place to live. I am half German/half Spain, so I am not into this "I am proud of my country" thing and stuff, but he have some good things here like state supported health care etc. The people, to some degree, are nice and I am pretty sure the same can be said about the people in Austria. If you can afford it somehow you should make a trip through Europe, but it's not cheap.
As for art. I have studied Design and at some point wanted to become an Illustrator, but I am a lazy bone and some of my teachers really extinguished all my desire to draw. I haven't been drawing a lot in the last 10 years. Most of the stuff in the gallery is from that time, so it's pretty old. But lately I have started doing some design work on my OC and maybe... hopefully... I will draw a bit more in the days to come.
I personally think you have a lot of potential and you seem to be a hard worker. That's the best base on the way to become an artist. 
And yeap. There are some good artists in Germany. Here at DA are some of them, for example . From way back in my times of study I know Florian Bertmer ([link] ) He is also a good artist. An art scene can be found in the bigger cities like Berlin, Hamburg or MΓΌnchen, but Berlin is the best one. Also cities like MΓΌnster have some nice artists.
