Does she make that pigeon sounding call when she sits there watching the birds? (My last cat used to do that, and the first time she did it, I could not imagine what she was having a fit over, until I looked out the window, and saw the birds. LOL)

Shelly chatters. I never thought a cat could chatter till I heard her. She squeaks- in fact, she does every thing except "Meow". I've told her I should've called her "Squeaky".

My cat used to make the odd noise too (I say used to, because she passed away a number of years go, now.), but most of the time she 'meow'ed. It sounds like you should have named her that, or a variation. LOL. My brother and I had been quite fluent in feline, and canine, too. LOL. Both of the animals had us trained very well. LOL.
