Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor.This outfit (and choice of actor) is growing on me, but David Tennant has left some big shoes to fill, so we'll have to wait and see. Also a bowler hat would finish this costume nicely.

I know, I'm not sure about that crazy outfit (you should see the real thing...), but Tennant had to leave someday and this guy seems as good as any. He's a bit young though

Very nice! I was a bit upset about DT leaving and a bit disappointed with the eleventh Doc but now I'm over it and just happy the Doc is coming back! Love him to bits!!!

I know, DT made the role his own, and this new guy has a hard task to live up to that. Also that costume is odd to say the least, but I'm sure we'll all get used to it

I don't like the costume Matt wears, it reminds me of Sylvester McCoy's Doctor mixed with Peter Davison for some reason. lol! I prefer Tom Baker, he's my ultimate fave Doc, then Patrick Troughton, then DT in joint place with John Pertwee
I love the Doc himself though, not the actor. lol!

I'm really not impressed with that costume either. When Matt Smith was first announced, he was shown in a jumper with a blazer over it, and it seemed like they were going back to the simplicity of the Eccleston costume. He's probably my favourite; he took it all so seriously.
This new outfit just looks like a costume to me, not like something someone would wear every day. His new assistant look cool though, and have you seen the new Tardis?

His new assistant looks awesome, i'm really jealous of her. lol! Everyone says the TARDIS is new but I saw a pic and it looks no different to me, maybe I was looking at the wrong thing!! I'll go look it up again and see.
Eccleston was amazing as the Doc, I loved him too actually, i hate the way he gets forgotten about because Tennant was straight after him and did such a good job. lol!

I couldn't quite tell what's different at first but the more you look at it, the more it looks like a giant toy or something. It's a much brighter blue and has sharper angles and has no "wear and tear" like the old one did. I'm pretty sure this means they'll change the inside, too.

Was just looking at it there, its more defined and stands out more, its sharp and kind of.... too new looking... it looks more plastic then wooden and your right, the colour is more sharper too. The new Doc better be just as good or I'll be very disappointed, I really hate his outfit, it totally doesn't suit him, but maybe when I see him in action it'll go with his persona. we'll have to wait and see!! I would kill to be the Doc's assistant!

I know we'll have to wait and see how Matt Smith plays it, but that costume.....oh deary me. It's just wacky for the sake of wacky. Change is what Dr Who is all about though and I'm kinda glad they're trying new things

well yeah, they were always changing the interior of the TARDIS throughout the years anyways so its not that bad, just hope the Doc isn't as bland as Peter Davison was. Sorry if you liked him, I just found his portrayal of the Doc a bit stiff and slightly boring. lol! I just see Peter Davison in Matt's Doc look, that seems a bit weird but its what I see. lol!

I think it's all that brown and beige that does it.
I'm no big fan of Davison, but I do feel sorry for him turning into Colin Baker dressed as a clown.
I'd like to see the interior of the TARDIS looking like outdoors, in a field or on the beach or something. It would be completely different and the inside decor IS supposed to be a TARDIS generated effect isn't it?

I know, Colin Baker really went over board with his costume. lol! Tom Baker was the best for me, I loved everything about him, to me, Peter Davison was a one dimensional character whereas the others had more of a persona. Tom had anger, pity, happiness, excitement,humour etc.
If the TARDIS control room turned into a nice bedroom with a huge bed or a luxury bathroom with a huge bath with built in jakuzi in it I'd be happy. haha!! I hate the way we never see any other room but the control room in the the new series, the old days were better where we got to see the winding corridors of the TARDIS and the many rooms it generated. I got a much better idae of how big it actually was then.

I've always thought it'd be cool if the Doctor said "I've got just the thing to defeat whatever, if only I could find it" and goes in to several rooms looking for something and we see allsorts - like a paradise with a waterfall, an escher style panting, maybe a football pitch XD, loads of weird and crazy things, just so the TARDIS looks HUUUGGE. Also a trophy room full of things like the Mona Lisa etc would be cool, or paintings of his previous regenerations.
And if I do another Doctor like this, it'll be Tom Baker

I'd love it, like the Tom Baker episode of The Invasion of Time where the Sontarans chased the Doc through the TARDIS and it showed a botanic garden, an infirmary, storage cells, etc. I would love it if they did that... maybe they didn't have enough intheir budget to be able to do that anymore... I dunno, but i'd love to see the TARDIS interior a lot more than other planets because the TARDIS in itself almost is another planet

I'd really like to see an episode like that,set entirely within the TARDIS, either getting chased or looking for something, so we can see how big it is, and all the crazy stuff we don't usually see.
