Yeah Iβve seen these before but Iβve never quite got their appeal, same with floating battleships, itβs just fantasy without rules( which actually deters me from liking steampunk). I mean i like the idea of metallic zeppelins- but thatβd be really difficult to pull off in drawing- as something that could have the potential of being potentially real but isnβt.

Etherships? I often think of technology thatβs theoretically possible but just not done and since Iβve been thinking of Trenchpunk alot, I wonder how much zeppelins could be improved- they were made with mesh much like biplanes so Iβm thinking that itβs theoretically possible for them to have some metallic coverings? Maybe one day if people learned from the Hindenburg to continue using helium instead of being cheap with helium, and to build better zeppelins- i wonder if they could have been made into something very formidable than how we currently think of them.

Most steampunk airships i just canβt take seriously- theyβre just floating battleships- thereβs no rhyme or reason just aesthetic. There are some more zeppelin looking things I like though, like those by vadim voitekhovitch, whom look reasonably real yet still fantasy- itβs the more grounded sense of fantasy that i favor.
