Description
The first thing Yoko felt as she opened her eyes was a sharp, persisting pain in the back of her head where she had been struck. She was so focused on her target at the time, she had not even noticed the beastman's presence until the second he was upon her. Now, she was a bound and gagged prisoner, lying inside the open cockpit of her captor's Gunmen. Directly in front of her, the pilot of the giant robot was engrossed in the task of operating his machine, and had not noticed she was awake. Yoko couldn't see his face, but she guessed from the smell that he was some sort of gorilla-hybrid.
Yoko shook off the pain, and with great effort managed to get herself upright, inching herself forward along the edge of the cockpit until she could see outside. The enemy group had traveled some distance away from the canyon where she had left her weapons earlier, and had begun to pass through a gaping desert, in pursuit of the other resistance members that might have accompanied the girl they had found, waiting to snipe them from atop the canyon walls. Apparently, they still did not know she had been alone this time.
It was no small drop, the ground was roughly 15-20 feet from atop the mecha where Yoko lay tethered and helpless. However, the sand dunes were deep enough to cushion her fall and muffle any sound she might make. There was no other alternative; unless she acted now, her captors would have her killed as soon as their work was over. Gathering her resolve, Yoko bent her knees forward, and thrust herself off the rear edge of the machine. She braced herself as best she could, closing her eyes as she came crashing down on the surface below.
Yoko froze, not making a sound for fear the enemy might have noticed her escape attempt. However, the Gunmen continued on their murderous course without stopping, and within minutes they were completely out of sight. She breathed a sigh of relief, although she knew her troubles were not over yet. The ropes that held her arms and legs began to chafe as Yoko struggled, trying to get herself loose...

So anyway, here's Yoko Littner from Gurren Lagann, and my second attempt at narration. I did as best I could with the sand, I hope you folks enjoy this new piece.
