Okay, I've never gotten one of these before, but first of all I'd like to thank and for the DD suggestion and feature!
I'm honestly surprised by all the positive feedback I've had for this painting over the last few weeks, as at first I was sitting on the fence over whether to post it or not. Suffice it to say I'm glad I did.
I have read/will read every single comment, I just really wish I had the time to answer them all! A big heartfelt thank you to everyone who favs, comments, or watches me today.

It somehow reminds me of two opposite scenarios.
1. A horse in crossfire on a (maybe) WWI battlefield
2. A cheerful horse raving in puddles of water, happy beeing alive.

I think I used Strathmore for this, though normally I use Arches. I haven't seen Fabriano in my local art stores, I don't think they carry it.

Very nice feeling and composition.
This is perfect as a water color piece since your action is so fluid to start with. Your colors are brilliant and I feel that your blank/voided areas are just as important to this as your colored areas - they add to the action and emotion of your horse jumping and your nice background...

This is georgeous! I love the colors you used and how the composition flows so well through the use of color and the pose of he horse. The horse itself is fantastically vague yet you can still see some muscle tone and other such detail

Thank you, I'm glad you like it! I use masking fluid at the beginning to preserve the white of the paper, which works really well. I have used wax pencil before but I find it really messy.
