Made in Mandelbulb 3D, by starting with Undead-Academy . This was the first time I had tried/used DOF, which I probably should have only done one pass. The thing I liked is that the only grey mushroom head is the one that' in focused. Yeah, I know I am about 6 lessons behind audre but I will get there, eventually. I am waiting on a render from my Pong series, so PLEASE forgive me if I upload more than my normal 2-3, I know how frustrating that can be sometimes. Please do not hold it against me, and still give my fractals just a little love. You all ROCK I will upload parameters later (after my fractal renders), if you all want me to.

I installed it the other day but have been crazy busy. I have a lot going on and don't know when I'll have time to figure it out. I messed with it a bit but haven't had time to try really.

I had to sit down with it about 6 times then I started with others parameters. I don't think I have made anything without prior parameters. Working on some now. Thank you! Find time for you!!!

ok M -- this one is masterful. The DOF works perfectly to hilight all those neato nooks and details. (I tend to do the two pass, sometimes I don't let it do the second one, or sometimes I have it do it again with different settings as the effect is cumulative)
You've really got the whole thing going on in this one and it is very, very, good!

Your words mean alot. I had never used DOF, but I read everything you write everywhere, no not stocking, but we watch a bunch of the same people. And I read a conversation you had. I didn't even know DOF existed that's how slow I am!

I think my favourite part of this one are the little spirals tucked in between the 'underbelly' and 'wings'.
I'm also envious of the DOF -- from what I can tell, it's built right into mandelbulb as a rendering option? I've seen some tutorials for it, in UF, but that's for faking it rather than truly being able to set the focal point.

Those little spirals are cute, huh? They came straight from the original fractal.
The DOF is built in, and I am still figuring out how to use it. I didn't even know what DOF was until I read about it. I don't know about UF, and haven't even seen a tutorial. But I bet you can fake it.

Yeah, it's a real headache to fake in UF, from the tutorial I read -- essentially you're building up layers of different levels of blurring through a whole lotta masks. If I can track it down again, I'll link it to you.
