ΕΠΗΓΑ

Δεν εδεσμεύθηκα. Τελείως αφέθηκα και πήγα.

 Στες απολαύσεις, που μισό πραγματικές, 

μισό γυρνάμενες μες στο μυαλό μου ήσαν, 

επήγα μες στην φωτισμένη νύχτα. 

Κ’ ήπια από δυνατά κρασιά, καθώς 

που πίνουν οι ανδρείοι της ηδονής.

…..

I WENT

I did not hold myself. I fully gave in and went 

to those pleasures which half real 

and half imagined in my mind they were; 

I went into the lighted night. 

I drank from strong wines like those men 

who, brave in delight’s abandon, drink.
