Description So a few months ago and I entered the Falcom illustration contest for Ys 3, Oath in Felghana. This was our entry. She came up with the poses, I drew it, she inked it digitally, I did the background and she did the coloring. Yeah, I know, perspective is off. It was done in a rush in the middle of the night before the deadline. ;_; But we were just happy to have done it. Ys love! *_*

Most people will know Adol from Ys 6, Ark of Napishtim, but it's got a lot more games in Japan. Falcom seems to be remaking them all in the quality that 6 was, so hopefully they'll make it overseas someday!

From the left, it's Adol, Elena, and Dogi. They're climbing the walls of the city to see the sun set.
Ys is pronounced 'ees', not 'waiz' or 'eez'. There is no apostrophe in the name either. Just for clarification's sake since everyone and their mom can't get it right. ;_;

I love it! Seriously, there's always some chick who's got the hots for Adol. Feena, Lillia, Elena, Olha, Terra, Tia, maybe Aisha. I don't know about the fourth or fifth game, though. But, they'll probably remake them, too.

I would like to see your concept of what Genos looks like..YsF was my favorite thus far (and as soon as Origin ships to me, I think that'll take it's place) and I'd always wondered what Genos looks like. Considerably, I would most like to see the Brave Sword, perhaps the Raval Armor and Shield as well. These all have amazing details.

Well I can talk to since she has played the games (I have seen the anime and kinda played a bit of Ys 1), and maybe we can come up with something Right now we're working on an entry for Falcom's illustration contest this year around, but after that I'll see what I can do.

Thanks. It'd be interesting - they never really elaborated on what Genos was like, other than that Chester and Elena are his descendants. I can only figure Genos is resemblant to Chester himself...

I'm not familiar from the genre this comes from, but it's a very cool picture! The clothing, in particular, looks nice, and the wall. It might seem strange to comment on the wall, but I have no patience for drawing stone and brick--it's difficult for me.

I ended up drawing it in the wrong perspective, but I'm happy how the bricks came out at least. XD It was so tedious, and a pain in the butt.^^ I'm glad you like it. Thanks a bunch!

In the NES versions, you can't just run straight into an enemy. Hit them from a slightly off angle, flank them from the side, and they should die without damaging you.

Why oh why do the men not wear pants in the first OAV? XD

I'm not sure who he likes most... but I'd personally like to think it's Feena. I do like Elena though. I have Ys vs Sora no Kiseki, I just tried playing it this weekend but it's very difficult! @_@

In Ys 7 looks like Aisha falls in love with Adol and Geis. About ys vs Sora No Kiseki, Estelle admired Adol so much as he is famous. If u have difficulty beating the game, try reducing the difficulty. If I am right, it is the 2nd choice from the top in the options button

Oh, thank you! I can't read much kanji so it's hard for me to figure out what's going on. I finally beat my first battle today after I set it on easy! XD

, my roommate, has played the Sora no Kiseki games and I watched some of it when she did. I like Estelle and Joshua, but most girls do seem to like Adol. Just his luck!
