I wanted to photograph the partial eclipse on March 20th through a circular hole in this picture I painted the day before. But it was not possible to get a good picture (only one of the two was visible - the picture, or the eclipse), so I had to help it a bit with photoshop and join the two pictures. The light shning through the picture is the light of the actual eclipse, but the photo of the eclipse itself is taken from another photo.Related content

Very cool idea ad execution. I thought of Arien and Tilion as well (though I didn't get to see the eclipse, we had a fat cloud cover until about an hour afterwards

Thank you very much! Here the sky was totally clear, which wasn't ideal either (for me) because of the difficulty to get the photo. In 2011 it was just right - we had mist through which you could watch the sun with bare eye.

I'm jealous! We had big fat clouds both times. Even back in 1999, we only got the occasional glimpse between clouds.
