Prince Meleagant is a valiant man who belongs to the highest nobility. He will participate in the Excalibur event, initiated by Merlin, convinced of his success. Like all the other lords, he attends helplessly the coronation of the young squire, Arthur. He refuses to pledge allegiance to the young King and will lead the sling against his enthronement. His hatred intensifies when he learns that Guinevere is going to marry Arthur, the latter has not only stolen the crown of Brittany that came back to him but also the woman he loves since the first day. Manipulated by the fairy Morgane, he will remove Guinevere and lock him in his house deemed inaccessible. Arthur will send Lancelot in search of Guinevere who will succeed in freeing her and will kill Combatant in battle.

Le Prince Méléagant est un homme vaillant qui appartient à la plus haute noblesse. Il va participer à l'épreuve d'Excalibur, initiée par Merlin, en étant convaincu de sa réussite. Comme tous les autres seigneurs, il assiste impuissant au sacre du jeune écuyer, Arthur. Il refuse de prêter allégeance au jeune Roi et va mener la fronde contre son intronisation. Sa haine s'intensifie quand il apprend que Guenièvre va épouser Arthur, ce dernier lui a non seulement volé la couronne de Bretagne qui lui revenait mais aussi la femme qu'il aime depuis le premier jour. Manipulé par la fée Morgane, il va enlever Guenièvre et l'enfermer dans sa demeure réputée inaccessible. Arthur enverra Lancelot à la recherche de Guenièvre qui réussira à la libérer et tuera Méléagant au combat.
