I finally got around to reading “Smoke and Shadows“ by Tanya Huff, the first of a sequel trilogy to her Blood Books series. And let me tell you, it was a frickin load of awesome.

So here are some obligatory portrait doodles of Tony Foster (left) and Henry Fitzroy (right). I always liked Tony. I sort of took it personally when they wrote him out of the TV series. What’s not to like? He’s a surly, street-savvy smartass with a heart (and eyebrow ring) of gold. And then there’s Henry: bastard son of Henry the Eighth and Vancouver’s only vampire resident. They have stuff to do. Like save the world from the invasion of the bodysnatching sentient shadows. There’s also wizards involved. Really angry wizards. DUMBLEDOR!
