Description Aaand here we go with four lovely lady's from the Assassin's Creed series. Depicted are (from left to right) Lucrezia Borgia, Claudia Auditore, Caterina Sforza and Rosa. C:

And now for something that bothered me constantly during Assassin's Creed - Brotherhood:
Seriously, Lucrezias dress is physically not able to hold it's content! I mean, this corset is way too low cut and has no further straps on the inside (at least I don't think someone already invented elastic straps back in the 16th century). Also, her cleavage is framed by metal (I think), and metal is not known to bend like cloth under pressure and motion. On the contrary, it probably rubbed the tender flesh underneath and caused constant pain. And even if the metal was somehow stitched on fabric that still separates the breast from the metal, it still must have been a very displeasing feeling.

But I don't mean to say it's impossible to wear this dress. Of course Lucrezia can still wear such garments, as she looks quite fetching in it! As long as she stands upright or moves like she has all the time in the world, her breasts will probably stay where they are. But I've seen her run stairs up and down and every time Ezio dropped her again, I asked myself if her boobies would finally pop out this time...

I wonder who designed this... *looks contemplatively around*

...

Okay, I admit it: This picture was solely done for Lucrezias boo--I mean dress and I only added the other characters to emphasize my point of view.

Anyway, enough with the rant.

For the flower-designs on the dresses I used these brushes:
by ~Sunira
by `vaia
For Lucrezia I used this picture as a guideline:

Many thanks to the respective artists!

I'm not happy with the coloring, since I filled the areas with the paint bucket tool (!) and added light/shades only with the burn/dodge tool. But I'm too lazy to do it properly, especially since the dresses are a nightmare...

So, if anyone is up to color it properly I'd be very happy! For the lineart please go here:

Was anyone besides me waiting for Ezio to just slice the corset strings like a Renaissance era Zorro?

I've always wondered that myself but they...I find Lucrezia attractive...well unless she's being all clingy to her brother...than I wanna puke lol

Yes, she was a really attractive woman. And I feel really sorry for her - she was just a pawn in her fathers and brothers games... But sometimes in the games she was so annoying - I would have liked to strangle her. And she was really mean to Caterina Sforza

Yeah she was really mean to Caterina. I have the novel of the game and she was even worse to Caterina in it, she threw her in mud and kicked her in front of everyone after bringing her out of the carriage. Also I have the DLC for brotherhood and Ezio seduces Lucrezia in it before tying her to the curtains and running.

I like the pic btw xD

Yes, I used the thumb-link. But I'm afraid it only works for premium-members. Assuming my subscription runs out and I don't renew it, the pic will vanish and only leave the (useless) thumbnail.

And thank you!

Burn/dodge tool + smudge tool =
That is all I have ever done to highlight/shade things...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Mondlichtvogel In reply to yeahiknowshutup [2012-01-18 18:25:49 +0000 UTC]

Oh, they're indeed useful tools! I didn't intend to belittle them or those who use them to highlight/shade things.
It's just that I usually shade or highlight with darker/lighter variants of the basic color - it's how I learned to shade. Using the dodge/burn tool this time was just spectacularly weird and unsatisfying for me...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

yeahiknowshutup In reply to Mondlichtvogel [2012-01-18 19:43:03 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I know that you weren't belittling them, or me, or anyone else for that matter. I was just saying that they are to me. It's especially pretty when you use the different opacity settings to create different levels of shading/highlighting...
