Here comes the birthday picture for ShuraChan ! Bre had his birthday yesterday, also on a Saturday.

This time it's not a Beelzemon, since we've been playing a lot of Pokémon together lately, I thought I'd draw the Pokémon she particularly likes. Felori took her as a starter in purple and she likes Pachirisu from radiant diamond and Dedenne and Wablu from Pokémon Go. Although she has the shiny version and I only have the normal one. Which doesn't make it any less cute.

As March heralds the arrival of spring and there are many Felori cards featuring it with flowers, I wanted to bring a bit of spring into the picture. In the meantime, the coloring of the picture didn't look good, but the more colors I added, the better it got. I still have to work on getting deeper shadows with watercolor and I'm annoyed about some hard edges or a blotchy paint application, but many people who paint with watercolor ink can tell you a thing or two about that.

And yes, we play crimson and purple even though the graphics are subterranean and we get really upset about the game crashing. But the interaction is a cool idea.
