I wanted to practice my acrylic painting, and found a beautiful stock photograph of a tiger. So naturally, I couldn't help but paint it.Time: 4-5 hours.
Acrylic paint on large canvas.
(I probably say this a lot, but it looks so much better in real life. Photograph kind of butchers it.)

If I'm honest, I haven't really used acrylics all that much. I've used oil paint even less, but I do think oil paint is smoother and it blends far nicer. Acrylic paint seems a bit rough and it's also rather dry in comparison (if that makes any sense xD).
Acrylic is definitely harder to work with I think, but sometimes I like the textures it creates

That is true now that I think of it and it's a great comparison. Smooth versus rough/texture. Also one of my teachers has said that you can use acrylics like watercolor if you water it down alot.
