Description
It is said that in the 18th century a group of Hogwarts' students and teachers tried to create a fifth house inspired by the ideals of the Age of Enlightenment. Only the most enthusiast of historians still remember its name, derived from the greek words for "light" and "truth". It tried to reconcile the wizard and muggle world by introducing the scientific method into magical experimentation, as well as expanding the knowledge of the first modern muggle scientists. It goes without saying that it didn't endure the test of time, partially due to the lack of a clear leadership, but mostly because the Ministry of Magic opposed the idea of divulging the existence of magic even to a select few scientists. Furthermore, ideals such as the search for knowledge and the fair treatment of everyone were already included for the most part in the already existing and established houses of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.

Okay, full disclosure: I completely made up this Hogwart house, it's not a part of HP lore. In fact, the illustration wasn't intended as Harry Potter fanart at all, as the logo on the owl's chest might hint at. The banner also originally included some text which I decided to remove for this version. However, I cannot deny that I took a lot of inspiration from heraldry in general, and Hogwarts' houses in particular, so I decided to go the extra mile and add a bit of flavour text to make it fit better into the established lore.
