its a manga and an anime
the first series of the anime is Ginga Nagareboshi Gin and the 2nd is Ginga Densetsu Weed. both animes can be found on youtube

its worth it. GNG is much better though, yes the animation isnt as good since its from the 80's but its better. ^.^
