Description
"Pick Your Poison" "They say it's a more humane way to help someone enter the Highlords' embrace, but that's only if you want it to be."
~~
Even though Liadrin had been welcomed into the herd, she was not liked by everyone due to not being a plains type and, though there were more other types in the herd now, Liadrin had been the first member of the herd that was not the same type as everyone else. Troy was also different. He had been bullied for most of his life due to being born with a "bald back." The vast majority of ballators that shared his type had back manes but Troy stood out because he did not.
When Troy found Liadrin sleeping outside of the village years ago, he was instantly drawn to her but had never imagined their relationship would change like it had. They had begun working together crafting armor for the guards and warriors and, as Liadrin's skills developed, so did their friendship.
"No one can know about this." Troy craned his thick neck over Liadrin's dainty frame. "If they do we will both be banished into Orodrune. It's a death sentence..."
The small grey mare sighed in defeat, "I know. But that doesn't stop me from wanting to be with you." Her soft voice had a slight shake, her bottom lip a subtle quiver.
"You can have me every night we are able to get away from the herd. Meet me here after dark whenever you are feeling like you need me." They had met in a small clearing surrounded by very dense forest. This spot was close enough that they could slip back into the village before the sun rose but secluded enough that nobody could see or hear them even if they were awake in the dead of night. At first they would go maybe once or twice a month but soon they found themselves going every single night just to feel the touch of the other.
