Guys guys look it's a MALE!I can now finally say I'm comfortable with the way I draw dudes....and I know a bunch a people will say " oh it looks like Sakimichan's art"

Each person has their individual uniqueness but it's hard to find that anyway because what new style can someone put out that hasn't been put out already since art began?Β
You guys do have differences though(like different color techniques and eyes and such), it's not like everything is exactly alike and that's good that you don't use her art as reference or anything. You can make things work on your own in your style.

Well, the color techniques is one thing that is different. You can see the differences because of how it's colored, the texture and such. Also, the body structure is a bit different. Yours seems a bit smoother than hers. You guys have your differences and if people notice that, then they will know it's you and not hers. Sorry if I'm making it seem difficult. I still don't have a style of my own. lol D: and I'm 23.Β

I know there are differences, I see them very clearly when I compare the way I paint versus the way skimi paints
(there are a few similarities, but we share them with many many other artists)
And I think you do have your own unique style, I can't say I've ever seen anyone with a similar style before! <3

I love how the hair and his hat are flowing in the wind (and with the leaves all around him), it's like the character and everything around is alive, if you see what I mean. xD
And don't worry, both your style and her style are different, not every painting style is the same after all. ^^
Maybe the angle and the kind of movement (the part with blur) could make some people think it's similar, but that's all to me. And in that case, it's a method, a way to paint things in perspective, not particularly attached to a style. ^v^

Well, nothing much, except keep going, drawing what you like for yourself as you're doing now, making your own path. I think Sakimichan is so well-know that people take her as a reference for digital painting. We can't prevent that. However, with time, it will surely change with other artists, as it always happens. ^^
