Beautiful color choices. And just to be troublesome I really quite like the pink roses. They do pull the eye, but I feel like that was the point as the boy seems to be hiding. He wants to be part of the background. Or that's what I think of. Not sure if I'm correct.

this is absolutely beautiful, love all of the details, the inked leaves. and the shading is so earthly and pretty! overall, this is the prettiest watercolour i've seen in a while.
the only crit i have is that the pink roses make the viewer's eyes go away from the figure and towards them.
