Jason Elfair is somehow a rare bread of an Hylian (humans with long ears from Hyrule) and an Elf (human-sized fairies without wings from Elfetale Kingdom), which gives him some impressive lifespan. And if you ask, no, he's NOT the love child of Link and Neige Hausen (Link is the Chosen Hero of Time/Twilight/Sky and Neige is the princess of the fairies... and probably a sexier version of Zelda). He comes from two different people unrelated to Link and Neige.

Jason's life didn't have a really special thing. He just had a normal and good childhood through his pre-adulthood with good grades. That is until at the age of 24, where he lost his right arm during an unknown accident. Sometime after the accident, he was rescued by someone with the knowledge of combat and took him care for some time. After that, Jason got a replacemnent for his missing arm; multiple pieces of heat and electro resisting titanium, combined into one sharp weapon. With this, he made on a self-made quest to find the one who caused the accident in the first place.
