As I said before, I very much appreciate the way that you made the focus on the woman in the center of the picture. The people are faceless and everything surrounding her looks like it's being encompassed by a swirling fog. You can see that it's a busy day, but for that one moment, all the focus is on her. It makes one wonder what she's doing... it looks as though she's talking on her phone, but you wonder who she's talking to... her true love? A friend? Perhaps a mentor or family member? You are very skilled at evoking curiosity in your piece. Also, the color choices are wonderful. Thank you for sharing this... it's wonderful!

This painting almost evokes a feeling of deja vu with it's ambiguously fading edges and faceless characters, the diagonal line created by warm colors from the top left to the bottom right makes the viewer feel like the are descending upon the scene from above, ominously and ethereally and bringing warmth and cognition with them. The subtle shifts between green and navy are comforting and mysterious at the same time, though the pattern to which the image adheres when drifting between the abstract and representational could have been approached from a more interesting angle. The main character also seems a bit generic and unmemorable but I understand that the piece also uses that it's advantage. Overall, I think you nailed it though. Great command of the medium!

I love how you put all the focus on the girl... the people in the background are there, but faceless, and the foreground looks like it's covered by a swirling fog... very nice! Did you only use watercolor in this, or was there perhaps some white compressed charcoal too? The white is so vivid!Β
