Description Happy Tuesday, folks!

Following up on what I said yesterday, this week's warm-ups will be mostly dedicated (amongst other pressing obligations) to illustrating a few stock images for OUTLAND Entertainment  in the classic DnD vein, which excites me to no end. On top of being an avid roleplayer (the pen and paper kind, of course, I'm a fossil like that!), once my days of throwing dice were over due to family and work-related obligations, I have been lucky enough to be commissioned by various clients and publishers such as Outland to dive into the Fantasy realm and bring some visions to life in my style.

Today I got to draw and ink one of my favourite Fantasy creatures since childhood: A Skeleton Warrior. Or, in this case, warrioress, which was a nice change of pace from the usual depictions as well. Most of all because I had to convey the female aspect through the armor and decorations, rather than the skeletal remains themselves.
Be it because I was impressed with ray Harryhausen's 'Sinbad' films or just anatomy in general, skeleton warriors were always fascinating to me and when I had to work out a Warhammer Fantasy Battles army way back when, I of course chose the Vampire Counts because they had skeletons as combatant units.

Anyway, I hope you like this one as much as you did the two I posted yesterday! I was overwhelmed at the great response they got and thankful as usual.

See you tomorrow!

Nic.-

Thank you, man! Skeletons are genderless of course, that's why I gave it some feminine touches in other details.

Armor is the only thing we leave behind, dear Tina. That's why we have to invest that extra mana or coin in making it as good as possible!

I feel you, as in Age of Sigmar (what Warhammer Fantasy turned into), I mainly play Death and bring plenty of skeletons, mainly because I don't really like using zombies or ghouls. That, and skeletons are cool Pain in ass models to build, but still.

Right on for being a skeleton guy! I never had so much trouble assembling skeletons, but rather painting them. They have a lot of crevices and whatnot that just don't work with drybrush and you have to paint with a detail brush

Really? I've always found myself being super careful when building them, especially on arms and legs, for fear I'll break something. That, and they never stay the way you pose them when you finally glue them together, and a lot of times end up being lopsided (especially Grave Guard when you give them those giant two handed swords).
