I was asked about my technique of drawing hair, so tried to make a little tutorial
it's my first experience in making such things and don't sure that it can be helpful

1) make a sketch. use brush 1 for shape and some strands. brush 2 – details. brush 3 – for details too (important: not much pressure on the stylus). no need to make too much details on this stage;

2) set layer to multiply. make a new one under it and fill with base colour;
3) base light and shadow stage. set "clipping group" for all new layers. shadows – more light and red than main colour – set to multiply. light orange but more yellow – set to screen;
4) merge all layers. and now it's time for detailing (MORE DETAILS xD) and more light and shadows with next brushes: 1 – main brush, 2 – for soft strands, 3 – smoothing. when you feel fine with the result add some single hair (4). use for it small brush with medium hardness. then go to photoshop where can make colour correction (need for all picture not only hair) and 3D effect (mostly for hair). and you are done c:
