Gustave the european green woodpecker and Agatha the queen Victoria pigeon are two small plant guardians I made for my friends' Bdays. They, of course, accompany the plants I'm giving them as a gift, with a word of advice I wrote on aged paper with a quill and ink, vintage fashion, and wax-sealed like old enveloppes.
I hope this gift will make their eyes sparkle !

Both figures are made with an aluminum ball base, covered with super sculpey and they I added layers of super sculpey until I got the desired shape. After baking and cooling down, I took my trusty acrylic paint set and got to work ! The hardest part is mixing colors, but other than that the process is rather straight-forward. I did a few effects with wet on wet to get some blending/mixing effects, otherwise simple basic wet on dry was more than enough.

I will do more plant guardians in the future, I already have done one, a lizard, but didn't take any picture of it so XD. May ask his owner to do one and send it to me.
