Artist Notes:

Another muse!

Beware the temptation to go into her light. She will consume you...which might not be a bad way to go.

I have so many more ideas to share with you.

This painting started as line exercise that I was doing in illustrator trying to figure out the paint brush tool. It grew and changed into the Fire Muse which was based on a quick sketch I did while on the train. Most of the work was then done in Photoshop. I used photo reference for the lower body (with a photo I took) and then let loose with the hair's form. I wanted to get a good contrast between solid female anatomy and expressive sexy curves with the hair.

I'm playing with my style and working towards getting a little more loose/painterly, but I ended up spending hours and hours cleaning up every pixel. Maybe I should just embrace the idea that these paintings will take me a long time.
