Look! It's Yeager from Tales of Vesp-God dammit, Tales, you copy cat.
It's just Ash from Atelier iris 3. He is badass enough to dual-wield Azoths, I assume because his name isn't as gay as "Felt". His "BRING IT" posture is quite funny in this too.
"You like dese impractical swords?".
"I have successfully attacked the ground, JEALOUS?".
Okay, I'm out of jokes. Thus concludes the things I wanted to draw. Although, I've always wanted to tribute the song "Crash!", as it's one of my favorite battle themes of all time. But I won't do that till I'm a better artist. :>
Oh, and of course, the song! Thunder Clouds.

Yeah they both talk (the good guy one and the one the bad guy has... and his is the REAL evil and etc etc etc). He has a semi-almost-British-old-man-butler voice from what I remember. 8D

I didn't hear any battle quotes with the Jap. 8[ There's actually times in the game where the voice-overs don't have text to go along with them, OUTSIDE of battles, which really irked me.

That's all you really need to remember about him. xD The only time he's established is at the beginning of the game and then when he's important for some reason at the end.
I actually remember laughing out loud when they introduced him as the 'strongest hunter' or something, and the main character is like "So that's who he is? OOOO, I REALLY HATE THAT GUY!". lolololol. What? WHY?

THIS ONE is painfully voice-overed too, like any dub. 8D That's what the Japanoiiise is for. And it's funny, if you Google Yeager from Tales of Vesperia he does look almost exactly look like Ash here.

Hahaha, yes, it was, but not nearly as bad as the first. Funny enough, I've never come across the 2nd one. And it's never anywhere on ebay...it's either really good and rare, or really bad and they discontinued it, haha. Oh wow, he does look a little like Ash, doesn't he?!

The saddest part about them being under-looked is that they all have music that's infinitely better than most games you'll find. Certainly catchier than anything Squeenix has put out since FFX.

I'll definitely agree with that. Boyfriend is a BGM connoisseur, as am I, and he approves of much that I've sent to him from Atelier Iris. Squeenix really is rather lacking past FFX in the BGM department. I hold high hopes for Versus, though

Why would you hope anything for Versus if they've failed since 2001? xD It's not just Final Fantasy, anything they put out sounds generic. Kingdom Hearts music is crap, don't let the J-pop and few good battle themes fool you. And all their random titles like Musashi and, heck, I dunno, have all sounded the same.

Ohoooo, let's not be nasty to Kingdom Hearts music. Kingdom Hearts music is quite very really friggin' good, I find. Particularly the darker, Hollow Bastion-esque tracks. I love writing a dark fight scene to Forze de Mal.
Versus seems like it's going to be pick up and be at least halfway decent. Can't definitely say the same for Agito, but they've got a few good concepts throwing around. For one, Versus is a PS3 exclusive, so it's already got that going for it, haha.
But I digress. There's only been one real track for Versus thus far, and that's the opera-y trailer track whose name I can't remember. I will agree that all the real gems come from back FFVII and FFVIII time. FFIX, too!

Come now, I said the battle themes don't count. :> I'm saying the bulk of the music, the crappy world themes, are what's bland. Bad synthesized versions of Disney songs that sound like MIDIs? AWESOME!! For some reason I always hated the Tarzan music the most. x.x The best songs are the original ones, and I think there needs to be A LOT MORE of those. If I play one more Kingdom Hearts game that repeats the Hollow Bastian theme & battle song I'm going to attack someone.
And whenever the composer is announced for Versus I'll see if the music will be good. Because I'm guessing they're going to use one of their regular people employed there. Could be the FF13 guy again, you know!

Okay yes, the Disney MIDI bullshit? Sure, those are indeed disappointing and crap. The only one I really enjoyed was Atlantica simply because I could sing 'Under the Sea' to it. And that's not much of a selling point, anyway. By the way, Agrabah always rubbed me the wrong way...or perhaps that was just the Agrabah stage in general >.>
And Hollow Bastion is great, but yes, they do need to come up with a few different things than just that one for their stock 'dark fight' background music.
And yes, we need an actual composer announcement first. I never even touched FFXIII on principle, but if it's done by the same guy, I'm going to crawl into a hole and die.

Agrabah drove me up the wall. xD All the stage music is so muted, low energy and tedious. But the battle themes are still fantastic, yes. In all the games. Like Ansem's (Well, Ansem before he WASN'T Ansem. Ugh, plot.) battle theme that... turned into all the Organization XIII battle themes, and the "Rage Awakened" song. God damn it, there they go repeating stuff again. The orchestrated versions of the main themes are the best songs on the soundtracks as well.
The soundtrack for XIII was at least better than XII for me. <.> I mean it's done by the Samurai Legend Musashi guy, and sounds like that game, but that's not a horrible thing. It's just meh.

You're definitely right there. And I do love hearing different mixes of Simple and Clean and naturally the main KH theme, particularly the orchestrated ones. I'm a bit of a music geek though, so I get a bit of an eargasm from hearing a really good piece of orchestral music.
Feh, I didn't really even play FFXII. I bought it, played a little and went: "Urrgh..." and then my friend borrowed it off me a few years ago and I haven't seen it since, hahaha >w<
I feel like I've barely finished any FF games (and that's quite true, actually. I've only really finished FFVIII...*sad*). But I'm deeply in love with a lot of the music.

It always gets you in the mood to play, I'd go so far as to say that's 50% of why Kingdom Hearts works for people. But then you start playing it...

And don't worry, FF12 was the hardest one in the series to finish for me. Way too much running around and collecting monster drops so you can barely have enough money to buy things. WAY TOO MUCH OF THAT.

Yeah, I've overall heard pretty poor things about FFXII. And pffft...FFXIII. Boyfriend played through the whole thing and was highly disgusted by it, ahahaha
