This is a Julip model horse - I collect them - and this one is turned out to look like one of the famous 'Dancing White Horses', the lipizanners, of the Spanish Riding School.This particular model dates from the 70s, but his rider is a redressed current Julip rider, I made the saddle and bridle and the rider's coat and hat myself.
Two of us took this shot, one to do the lighting and the other to do the photography.
Yay he just got Model Horses Unlimited's (photo) Horse of the Year! I am so pleased - it was an open model show not limited to 'toy's' like he is.

Wow! This is a stunning shot, a really innovative idea, and you make such gorgeous tack! I'm just getting into Julip collecting; I'm ordering the julip black diamond model set ^^ I'll post some pics when i get it!

Aw thank you Rockyqhcross, (cool name by the way) for this guy the tack is made from old leather and wire, and the bridle the same, I used a gold marker pen to do the detail on the breastcollar.
The rider is pretty as is from Julip apart from adding high bits to the front of his boots and making him a hat and jacket.
If you've seen the other dolls a lot of the sets are made from stuff I find in charity shops, I make clothing from real clothes I find in various cheap shops, scraps of material and anything else I can find

Awww! He's gorgeous! His tack is beautifully made as well! I've only got one Julip at the moment - a really randomly coloured new Lippi called Tamarind!
