Consider the following: An AU where Wander and Sylvia are humans on Earth and exploring the world as they drive around in an RV. They never know where they're gonna end up next, whether it be a busy city with friendly faces or a big open forest where they're free to do whatever they want. Wander doesn't go anywhere without his hat, which he sometimes uses as a bag to carry his things in, or his banjo. He likes to write songs about the people and places they've seen together and practice in the forest, where there's no room for human contact, so he can play in peace while Sylvia hums along.

Sylvia is the one that drives the RV most of the time (since SHE'S the one who owns it in the first place.) She's the one that handles the money, which is earned by doing favors for people (like dog walking or mowing someone's lawn.) They spend that money on food, water, and gas for the RV.

They never really know where they're going until they get there.
