Description - paradise emergence -

Where do you go to escape societies norms?

Amidst the daily life, is there someplace you dream about?
Where can you escape? Disappear? Spend an eternity and never come back?

This is paradise. Emerging from your conscious.

Escape. Take a risk. Get away from it all.

par·a·dise: A place of ideal beauty or loveliness.
e·mer·gence: The act of rising out of a fluid, or coming forth from envelopment or concealment, or of rising into view; sudden uprisal or appearance.

[Must FULL-VIEW]
::

'Went on a very long hike, to get away from it all. It was amazing. So silent out in the forest, miles away from anything. Cell phones didn't work, and no cars or people could be heard. It was truly paradise finding this amazing waterfall in the middle of such a dense forest. The Columbia River Gorge is one of the worlds largest areas of lava tubes, and has the highest concentration of waterfalls than anywhere else in the world. I brought my tripod with me just so I could capture such beauty, but I never knew it would be this spectacular. The sun was going down quickly when I took this shot and it really added to the tonal range for the picture. I had been thinking a lot about my sociology class lately and being out in the woods really brought about a lot of feelings about how I needed to get away from everything more often.'

I think this shot really shows a lot about what everyone wants to experience and reach, but not everyone can. It's hard to escape everyday norms and habits. But once you get away from them, you really don't want to go back.

::

Just, relax.
Have a great day, with love, Aaron.

Yes it is. I got a chance to look at some of your other work. Amazing stuff. My particular fondness is always with Seascapes and Waterscapes. Your work tends to have a strong bold use of color and values. I enjoyed them.

Time, patience, and eye.

It's worth it carrying up a tripod and camera...and then having to stop and wait/find a spot to shoot from...

Such an amazing hike.

Absolutely beautiful. The colors are wonderfully brilliant. Looks like a paradise. A little too bright in the top section of the photo. Perhaps try some light burning around the trees etc.?

The Columbia Gorge is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and I've been to quite a few different places. Less than I get to go home back to the good old Northwest, I'm glad it's still as awesome as it always was. I was missing home, so I appreciate this picture so much, you don't even know!

pretty cool, slightly overexposed, but thats what you get for taking these kinda shots sometimes (cough cough CP filter)

oooh, nice stuff

OneBloomPhotography In reply to avotius [2004-05-05 09:14:18 +0000 UTC]

What the hell is a CP filter?

Ha, and like I could find one for my camera!

Well maybe, but I'm poor and I don't even have money to fix my car...or barely even put gas in it.

Sigh*

Buy my prints people!

Or my E-bay auction on MX-Flash Books right now...

avotius In reply to OneBloomPhotography [2004-05-05 15:44:18 +0000 UTC]

circular polarizer filter, think of it as a polarizer but the head spins so you can alter the reflections in water and cut a hell of a lot of powerfull sunlight out of shots.

oh yeah, money, sucks doesnt it....lol
