This type of grimm will appear in the rwby fanfic www.deviantart.com/ookamigirl0… I am currently writing. It's inspired in the gaping dragon from Dark Souls. If you are interested in character designs PantherCaboose has her commissions open.

Here is a bit of lore :

Gluttony, has somewhat similar to a third eye that helps it detect auras. It’s located on top of the head or underneath it’s jaw. They have no need for normal eyesight, because they mostly move underground. But can be seen resting above the ground.

They feel footsteps and has poison that paralyses on the barb of it’s tails.

Some individuals have developed a flesh destructive poison like rattlesnakes.

Also the two little red fleshy "tongues" inside it's mouth secrete poison and can extend a certain distance to sting.

The saliva of this grimm can be irritating to the skin.

They vary by region of the world. The gluttony in atlas has more plates than it’s cousin in Vacuo, since they break the ice underneath the ground.

The throat maw can open even more and shows the ribs of the grimm.
