I always found Kiara and Kion to be a little bland... so I did my own spin on them for my own TLK universe.

Kion takes more after Sarafina and Sarabi. Brown instead of red, tan instead of yellow. I moved the spots on his body for my sanity since I do have plans to draw more of this version of him at a later date. Green eyes instead of orange, single colored toes. No magic lion guard either, he's just a royal child without any real obligations and struggles to find his own place. He and Ono wind up taking Zazu's place as majordomo and help Kiara out with running the Pridelands. His sister's reign becomes one of strife due to a drought so she needs all the help she can get.

He's basically a relatively good natured and obedient kid and struggles a lot with his identity and a sense of uselessness. Struggles with envy with Kiara as a cub over it.

Kiara always looked like day old macaroni, so I took notes from Mufasa and applied it to her. She's bulkier, bigger feet and a thicker build to more visibly explain her struggle to hunt well. More of a tomboy so she's not really into anything girly, though she does *try* to at least humor Tifu and Zuri when they try. She really doesn't want to be queen at all, but winds up growing into it on her own over time.

She pretty much has her own ideas of what she wants to do in life, and feels trapped in the role she's been born into. As a cub and into adolescence she envies Kion for his freedom to choose his own path.

There's a point they consider switching places, but TLK2 and another drought happens. Kiara winds up taking the lead when no one was expecting it.
