Description Hector Falls is a 165ft waterfall tiered off into 3 different sections. This is the top tier which can viewed right off of route 414 in Watkins Glen NY. The other two tiers are on private property and the entire 165ft can only be seen while on Seneca Lake. You can make your way below the bridge for a safer viewing experience but I think the better view is along the shoulder of the road on the bridge. Just beware of speeding cars! I love the form of this waterfall, it makes it so beautiful with long exposures! I love finding waterfalls like this and it's always so exciting to see how that first picture will come out.

I couldn't tell at all! It looks like it would be more tricky to compose a shot here since it looks like you don't have much room to move around.

But the lighting looks fine Did you have to wait for a cloud to cover the sun?

Cloud cover was an issue for sure, after being patient i was rewarded with this though.
