There is an amazing complete feeling to this photograph.
The whole vintage powder room setting and the half dressed woman looking straight into the camera makes it quite intense.
The only thing that bothers me and kind of goes against the theme of this picture is the way the model's hair is perfectly done. Her casual pose and the raw surroundings would have gone well with undone ruffled hair or a more domestic hairdo.
Also, the lighting could have more of a greenish tone to it so that the whole picture looked like it were taken from a vintage camera.

I'm no photographer, so take my comment for what it's worth. The initial impression I get from her expression and body language is one of apprehension, as if she's a captive and her captor has entered the room, or she has to urinate. I think a more relaxed pose would have worked here, a little slouch, perhaps picking a flower from the vase or talking on the phone, head thrown back in a laugh, or perhaps a bemused look.Β I like the setting, although the Da Vinci drawing strikes me as not fitting the overall scene; I don't know why, honestly. The model is lovely, the lighting looks nice, the setting works well for portraiture, but the objects therein beg interaction. This is an honest critique from a guy who struggles just to get his camera to focus.

I've been looking at this for quite a while this morning. It's quite interesting. I really enjoy compositions like this where the surrounding shapes accent the lines of the figure. But I sort of feel like this is heading in several directions at once. If you have time, perhaps tell us what you were trying to express with this. In any case, creative wok!
