Description Since I'm feeling really frustrated with my art skills, I've made yet another tool for myself that will hopefully lead to improvement! It's similar to one I made before in that it shows me photo references from my collection for a set period of time before moving onto the next, but this time it's more structured. I've given the program half a dozen different 'courses': Nude Figures, Clothed Figures, Faces, Hands, Animals and Landscapes. I intend to work on all of those things.

I used the Faces one here, obviously, and what it involved was:
- Three two-minute drawings of noses
- Three two-minute drawings of mouths
- Six two-minute drawings of pairs of eyes
- Three two-minute quick drawings of whole faces
- Three five-minute 'value studies' of black and white faces (only two are shown here)
- Two ten-minute coloured paintings of faces (one is shown here)

So that was just over an hour in total, and I feel it was really useful! The faces after the painted one were drawn without references to see what I'd picked up from the studies. And the six things right at the top were done before I started. Yes.

Those faces on the second row from the top are of a 'character' of sorts who I've not drawn in ages, but who I used to draw whenever I wanted to do a 'generic female'. She looked really masculine back then because I couldn't draw girls, and it's sort of embarrassing how she STILL looks masculine here, as if I've learned nothing at all since then. The faces at the bottom left were also meant to be her to see if I could make her look less masculine, but... eh. I still clearly need to improve a lot more!

ANYWAY, I hope to do at least one of these pages of studies each day from now on!!11

I know the artist usually criticizes their work the most but IMHO they don't look masculine to me. I can only suggest working on the eyelashes\eyes but I fear if you did that she'd look far 'girly' or addicted to the pancake/makeup.
