My art trade for clubYay! It looks like I'm the first one to post mine to the folder, despite being worried that I wouldn't have enough time to get it done before the weekend. *looks at the deadline* Whhhhhattt?! It's May 30th?! Oh well. Early start. XD
This is Syrrhaal's character, August. That's so cool because I have a character named August too.
This is my first real attempt at Art Nouveau since that was the style for this trade. I tried to incorporate a couple things from August's story, especially that his rare blood is hunted after.
I designed the background on my own, which turned out to be quite fun! I haven't actually pulled out a traditional ruler and circle maker in a LONG time! Everything was drawn with a mechanical pencil, scanned and cleaned up in SAI, colored in Photoshop.
Cheer up btw! Don't let my drawing time go in vain. The first person I traded with in MindXchange left DA and never came back to DA to see the drawing. *sadface* Whatever you're going through, fight through it, hon. Downtimes suck, but they don't last forever if you're determined to find the light.

Beautifully well done!
I'm moving in with my Partner's home in Kansas city and his parents collects original Art Nouveau paintings along with French Art Deco works, this drawing reminds me of those paintings as well.

Why thank you very much. It was quite fun doing the sketches by hand. It's been a while since I've done art with a ruler and protractor.

Miss talking to you too. I haven't been online much due to working on the computer each day at work. My eyes needed a chance to get adjusted so I've been doing traditional works for Otakon. Can't wait to meet you!

Oh you did some super work with him and I am all stunned by the background and all of your little details you added there!
I love also the not so vibrant colour idea everything so creamy, so dreamy which actually fits this character greatly and you could capture his persona with this work greatly as well )
I still discovering new and new details and I absolutely love it!
Also don't worry I am not the one who just leaves all behind just because I have some downtime! I almost done with my half as I already started it and hope you will like it ~ though might be that I will note you the picture instead of uploading on the site if that is fine for you )
It was hard to decide which character to go with but hope you will like the idea I settled down in the end and hope it will be such as good than your part!

I am glad that you like it, especially since you put so much detail into your own drawings. He was fun to draw and very much a character I'd fall in love with.
