First fanart from Steven Universe and a first in general in a loong time. I'm not really happy with this one, colors are completely out of my typical scheme and face was super tricky becouse it's hard to draw super pointy nose in a more semi realistic style, hand is also pretyy terrible blah blah blah... Maybe i will scarp it later but for it's really important to me to post any pictures regularly becouse I know if i make a longer break it will last months again.Why Pearl in kimono? Becouse she's my favourite and Japanese clothing fits her

I haven't watched any of Steven Universe, so I usually gloss over fan art, but this is so gorgeous. I love how well you stuck to your own style, while capturing her unique characteristics.
When you color in your digital works do you use colors/shading right away? Or do you shade in grayscale and then add colors later? I'm really impressed with the balance of colors, especially with her skin tone.
