reelig glen, scotland.
the story of pomperipossa (godnattsagan.se/en/the-story-o… ) is a fairy tale written by the swedish author Falstaff, fakir (the pen name of Axel Wallengren) in 1895. i grew up with this story, where an ancient witch with a huge nose (every time she casts a spell, her nose grows) finally is turned into a stone, as a crab bites her nose and she screams the loudest scream ever heard, which breaks all the spells she's cast. this tree stump looked a lot like a stone and reminded me of the story.
