I am a Slavic Dream Walker (black shaman) and Wind Whisperer, we have 3 human souls and 7 animal, avian, oceanid souls, we do not chose them, they are dormant for however long they have not been reclaimed (by healing all our dark karmic lives.).Β

Hi! Thanks for sharing. I'm a practicioner of familial Vilturj, which is Finno-Ugric in origin. We have similar beliefs about the number of souls (split slightly differently, there's amazing variation out there) - but like you, I do not believe we choose our souls, or our czurucyk (totems). (Also, your Facebook Page is wonderful).

I don't know what the weasel and marten totems would represent, but the Siberian weasel (or kolonok, as I prefer to call it) is midway between them in terms of size and hunting behaviour. Perhaps a kolonok totem would be good for someone undecided between having a mustela or martes totem.

I don't actually subscribe to a belief that people *choose* their totems, so I don't know if I'd be comfortable including a totem meaning like that (though it is an interesting one). I do however have a list of keywords here for Siberian Weasel as Totem: [link]

Gee, this is a great series - I think this one is my favorite, though, the pose just seems to add to the design and personality of the animal.

Thank you so much. I love this one too. I think it's the least 'striking,' but that seems to really fit the Siberian weasel. They have such amazing colour in real life.

Oh - what a precious nose!

I am such a weasel person, through and through. And I think this is absolutely gorgeous - I love the cream colors. It's such a warm picture.

Hee, I just want to touch their noise. Thankfully I've got a cat that indulges me by letting me touch his nose.
