Here we see BB-8 zooming across the sands of Jakku (or some other desert world) at dusk. I love the way that all of his little lights gleam in the dim lighting. I was pleased with the way that all of his grooves and panels came out. They are a really key part of making this little guy believable. They help describe his shape, give him a tangible texture, and speak to his functionality. I also experimented with some different metallic treatments on this model, and learned a few things that I hope to put to good use in future models.
