Description "Gourd" the *Dragon_Frog*🐉

For those of you who don't know, for artist, specially creature designers, August is the month of #dragons . Each year just like #inktober we draw a #dragon for each day of the month using *key* words depending on the prompt list you follow. I follow the prompt list of the artist MaGiK _jack_art , and day 27 is "Frog" 🐸

I've been very busy this month with a lot of work, so this *might* be my only submission for "Smaugust 2021" 😅. Funny tho, the concept of a "Frog-like-dragon" has been on my mind for a while now, & I just had to do it ! I had a lot of fun creating this guy, & compared to my usual style this one is more cartoon-ish in style, which helped alot in giving him personality.

"Draconus anura" also known as the Dragon-Frog 🐉🐸.
This is the most widespread & most abundant type of dragon, with dozens of species, with diferent colors, shapes & sizes, living in many ecosystems. Some as small as actual frogs although the largest species (the one depicted) "Draconus anura supremus" (The Supreme Dragon Frog) can be as big as bulldogs. These dragons are usually very docile, in nature they mostly are found sleeping or looking for food. But all their usual behavior changes drastically during mating season, during the wet season, in which males produce thunderous calls to attract potential mates & scare away rivals. If two evenly size male meet up, they will fight to the death if necessary for the right to mate, although outcomes like this are very rare. During their infant stage both sexes look alike & have fully functional wings, to help them travel over long distances searching for new places to live. Once they reach maturity both males and females lose their ability to fly, turning their wings vestigial. Males are 2/3 the size of the females, also having larger horns, a thick mane, & bright colored limbs. Depending on the species, some either spit acid or fire balls, mostly for defense.
