Bio:
Born into a well-off plantation family, Alonzo grew up rather comfortably. The youngest child of two, there weren’t much expectations for him since his older brother was to inherit the plantation. He was rather pleased that he didn’t have to worry about such things since he didn’t want to be stuck with the responsibilities anyways. As time went on he grew tired of his mundane life, with everyday being the same old thing. So, through connections with his father, he set out to the city to become an apprentice to an acquainted textile merchant named Diego Salazar. And so, for the next five years, he worked under Salazar learning the trade, and became very good at it. He always did have flair when it came to fabrics.
By the age of 20 he was already a merchant himself and pretty successful at that, even opening his own textile factory specializing in fine linens. It was also during this time that he married a young woman from a respected family. It wasn’t so much love as it was mutual penchant for one another. It was purely essential and that was that. Life went on as usual, though it was much livelier with his new companion. But after the birth of their daughter things had turned sour. He wasn’t interested in domestic life and focused more on his growing business, usually away from home for months at a time. Their relationship became very strained but they merely snuffed growing problems and tried to move on with their everyday lives despite this.
But one evening the two got into the nastiest of arguments and he left. His initial destination was his beloved factory but it was in the next town over and he had no way of transportation since during their quarrel he left with very little. To his luck, or so he thought, he managed to hitch a ride with a peculiar man who was taking his carriage out to the same town. They got along very well and even chatted most of the way. It wasn’t until he realized that halfway there, they started heading in the opposite direction that things went south.
As he went to point this out, the man went and attacked him. There was a short struggle before he felt a sharp pain. The killer proceeded to plunge the knife deeper into his stomach, gutting him slowly. He then pulled out the knife and proceeded to talk as if nothing happened. Alonzo remained where he was, still in shock, and slowly bled to death. The killer was one who enjoyed slow suffering and once Alonzo finally bled out, the man dumped his body in the outskirts of a corn field where his body was later feasted on by neighboring crows. Because of his abrupt exit and the fact that the couple's unhappiness wasn't news to anyone, his wife and contemporaries assumed he just left and didn’t want to be found. And thus, Alonzo Romero was never heard from again.

God of death: Esperanza Vega (insists to be called Señora Vega only)
Location: Spain
GoD’s personality:
+: Graceful | Ceremonial |Idealistic |Sociable | Polite
- : Secretive | Possessive | Strict | Demanding | Cruel
=: Imposing
Likes: Birds (specifically canaries)| Music |Having a job done right the first time | Ribbons | Mangos | the color gold
Dislikes: Messes | Crow’s constant smoking | Ill-mannered people | Noise
Why they weren't retrieved in time: Spain had been in a time of turmoil throughout the century, especially in the latter half with revolution after revolution. After the Queen was usurped from power, things only became worse. With three civil wars taking place in one century alone, Vega and the few other GoDs that presided over the region were becoming exhausted beyond expense. She had series of names constantly being added to the list, all of which she did her best to cover correctly. Unfortunately a lone figure in an empty cornfield wasn't deemed urgent enough for her to pick up right away, to which Alonzo's corpse succumbed to a nearby unholy spirit. Once she realized her mishap she quickly fixed the situation, though embarrassed by the fact that she had messed up so terribly.
Currently: Crow resides with Vega, as the GoD had oh so graciously insisted, both out of a sense of responsibility and the want for some company. At times, especially in his early months as a Keeper, he accompanied her on the job. At her villa, he is usually charged with overseeing medial jobs as well as the few jobs that she had entrusted to him. As for the remainder of his time, Crow goes about looking for more jobs, albeit not as successful as he would hope, or look after Vega's gardens and canaries to pass the time.
Extra’s on Crow:
˟ Has a rather thick Spanish accent
˟ He is half Spanish, half Moroccan.
˟ Has a bad habit of smoking when one shouldn't (much to Esperanza’s dismay)
˟ He remembers very little of his past life save for parts of his childhood and even fewer snippets of how he died. Though he apparently has no interest in knowing.
˟ He usually travels around looking for more jobs since Esperanza doesn't give him much work. He frequents Sherman often since it's one of the busiest places around, being the capital and all.
˟ Owns two pet chickens, Fernando and Ida. He's very fond of them.
Extra’s on Esperanza:
† Ironically, She named Crow after the very birds that feasted on his corpse.
† Esperanza tends to act ‘motherly’ towards Crow and while sometimes it could be strange, Crow doesn't seem to mind.
† She and Crow are usually separated (she still has work to do after all), though she still has him accompany her on certain errands and the like.
† She has him wear gold since it’s her color and thus acts as a sort of ownership on him.
† She resides in a small villa in the countryside in southern Spain where she allows Crow to stay as well. Though he is barely there most of the time.
