This painting is based off the sunset I saw at the end of my trip in Kamakura. It’s been a crazy past two weeks. I’ve been teaching lessons pretty much all day at my teaching job and then hurrying home to get a daily painting done. I haven’t been getting as much sleep as I did when I focused only on teaching and I’ve missed my train stop quite a few times because I have to sleep on the train to keep myself from being tired when I’m teaching! I hope that some day all the work I put in now will get me closer to being able to support myself with my art. I think my trips to Japan’s beautiful places like these help keep me going.
