except for it's shot with a tele lens, i really love this.
that expression just puts the guy into the foreground even more, and can't quite explain it.
beautiful job on the DoF, the background is very much in the back and still not really out of the sharpness area, at least in my opinion.

no..it's not bad Meredith..we just passed the 3 year anniversary of his passing is all...i doesn't seem like that long and he is greatly missed.

i completely understand. my grandma passed around that same time, and i still haven't gotten past it. it's tough.

it is tough, meredith..and i'm sorry to hear about your grandma..

i guess, for me, what makes it tougher, is all the others that followed..the past few years seem to have been constant death and funerals...

I like this shot. This is a comfortable place to sit under the trees it seems. It has an old town feel like a Mayberry RFD. He certainly doesn't like you invading his space...or is he an older version of all his years of frowning and his face is paralyzed like this for always?

you know, i stood there for a while, because he was looking the other way, and as soon as he looked at me, i snapped the shot. so i don't think he had much time to form an expression.
