Description
Predator to the Bananna Brontobills. They stand at 4 ft tall and 15 ft long. Hunting in wolf like packs made up of a breeding pair and offspring of a variety of ages, Hookclaws are collaborative ambush hunters. They can easily climb through trees using their large claws and semi-prehensile tails. They drop down onto the brontobills or other large herbivores as one mob and use their claws to grip onto the body of their prey, causing large pierces and bloodloss while they hack their beaks into their prey's flesh. Each time their prey tries to buck them off, the hookclaw digs in tighter until their prey dies of exhaustion and bloodloss.

There are many species of brontobill and hookclaw through out this world I'm developing, these are just the species adapted to life in the rainforest. Also they are not dinosaurs but rather a clade of genetically modified organisms made of reptilian and avian dna known as the avitheres. Avitheres were manufactured by humans to replace many of the now extinct megafauna that went extinct during the anthropogenic extinction. 10 species were developed and released into the wild and have since diversified. Most of this will be sent 10 mya hence.
