Description I guess you could view this as a sequel to "A Leaf on the Ocean", but it wasn't intended that way. Consciously.

Enterprise by Aggi, Shuttlebay via Celticarchie, Shuttle by XCal-Pro, starfield by Buchvecny.

McCoy: Spock. I have a question.

Spock: Which is?

McCoy: We are in orbit over Vulcan. Why is the Vulcan Ambassador coming via shuttlecraft instead of just beaming up?

Spock: Even on Vulcan politicians are politicians. They live in their own little universe.

I never considered that angle on Babel before. Er... maybe there was a solar storm at the time??

It would have been nice if the Captain's Log mentioned it. Trek often did things that made me scratch my head in wonder.

I think you've found another rare angle. I think - before the series was remastered- the only time we saw the ship from the rear, was in "The Alternative Factor" and I beleive the ship was actually a mat shot. Good job.

Yeah, I remember that angle - it was pretty cool, at the time. Remastered certainly helped expand our visual vocabulary of the vessel, but it's still fun to take it further and explore on my own. It's fun to be able to combine unique angles and non-standard lighting.

Enterprise, this is Galileo on final approach. Turning control over to dock master.

Galileo, this is dock control. We have you and are bringing you in, welcome home!

Glad, to see your bringing that shuttlebay into use!

Well as I said, they weren't intended as a pair, but I guess they work that way so I'm good Glad you like the light. I was going for something with more of a deep space feel instead of the oft seen overdone studio lighting.

Once again great pov! And that really is a super duper top notch Enterprise model.

Yeah, the Aggi model is pretty darn nice!. The shuttle bay doesn't come with it, but I got both through the generosity of Celticarchie who converted them from their original formats to Poser. Whatta guy!

How do you manage to pump out great shots at such a speed? This one is just as good as the one leading up to this view.

Well this stuff is all pretty easy and fast compared to figure work. No complex transparency maps and limited displacements really speeds things up. Most of the challenge is figuring out where to put the camera. The rest falls into place very quickly. So.... I'm really pleased you like them. It's fun to be able to get results like this relatively quickly.

Of course they don't ALL fly out the door in minutes. Some pieces, like "Putting in for Repairs", took a couple of days and multiple attempts.

Glad you like! What I was after here was to do a landing scene that really gave the Connie a sense of mass. I'm pretty happy with what I got on that score.
